As part of the the newly established GRis festival, SNFPHI and the Columbia Global Center in Athens will host in New York two legendary figures of electronic music and the Greek club scene, K. BHTA and Nikko Patrelakis. The two will present the outcome of their collaboration during the pandemic, Neapolya “new city,” a site where a novel synthesis of music and the moving image finds articulation. Through a series of video projections and newly composed music that pays tribute to those who popularized electronic music (Vangelis Papathanasiou, Kraftwerk, Brian Eno, and Lena Platonos) while using new technologies to craft its unique sound, Neapoly presents an exploration of the Greek landscape and the history of electronic music.
